WalkActive Core, Tone + Stride is a 4 week dynamic whole body workout series to improve your core + tone + stride, using the scientifically proven WalkActive System to target the core and tone of the body. This workout series is delivered via zoom and will compliment your outdoor WalkActive practice. This series builds on from Get Started with WalkActive – my WalkActive Fundamentals programme to learn the scientifically proven WalkActive Technique to walk fitter + healthier + trimmer + happier.
I’ll be your WalkActive Coach working out with you right in your home, guiding and teaching you with specific exercises and drills from the WalkActive System to improve your walking technique, stride and pace. You’ll also enjoy improvements in your posture, body tone and leg strength, balance and abdominal tone.
Plus there will be time at the end of each session to ask me questions live and get direct feedback on your efforts. Let an expert take care of your fitness and health.

There are 6 weekly Live Workout sessions, each session is 50 minutes and there will be time ( generally 10 – 15 minutes) at the end of each workout session for you to ask Joanna questions regarding your WalkActive practice and efforts in the class.

No, to learn WalkActive you are best directed to my Foundation Programme Get Started with WalkActive. However this workout series will incorporate some of the fundamental drills, exercises and techniques that are taught in the foundation programme. So if you are new WalkActive this can be a good introduction to my WalkActive System and commitment to delivering results all through walking.

No, you don’t need to have completed any previous WalkActive courses, however some prior knowledge will be an advantage. You can check out the free mini programme on the WalkActive App, or join the Foundation Programme Get Started with WalkActive

Joanna will also be available for a short live Q&A at the end of each class to answer your queries, help and give feedback on your technique.

This Workout Series is suitable for both individuals new to WalkActive as well as regular WalkActivists who wish to progress their technique, tone and core. Each session will involve positions standing and on the floor, so you will need to feel comfortable to get up and down from the floor. This series will improve your posture, balance, core tone and improve your body shape. You’ll also get immediate improvements in your walking technique so yo look + feel + perform better all through walking with WalkActive.

No problem, all the workouts will be recorded and uploaded onto the WalkActive App so you can catch up at your convenience and as many times as you wish.

You’ll need a mat to lie on – I’ll be using a yoga mat, a chair will be helpful for some of the exercises to aid with balance and support. Plus a towel may be helpful to provide some extra cushioning if you need for the floor part. You’ll find further information on getting ready and how to make more of my CTS Series when you enrol on the programme.

I’d actually prefer you to complete this Workout Series barefoot. However I appreciate not everyone likes to do this so if you do want to wear trainers please choose something that is flexible light and allows you to move your foot.

This is a one purchase lifetime access. As long as you have the WalkActive App you will have access to the programme. The WalkActive App is the home for my WalkActive System – so you’ll LEARN + TRAIN + THRIVE through all my programmes.

These workouts are taught live via a zoom link. Once you enrol on the CTS Workout Series you’ll be sent your zoom access links. All sessions are recorded and will be uploaded for you to catch up and workout to with unlimited access on the WalkActive App.

Yes. All the links for your workouts will be on the app. Once enrolled we’ll also e mail you with your respective workout session links so you have them to hand. Remember the WalkActive App is available across all devices, PC, laptop, tablet as well as smartphone. Plus you can also link your app to your TV screen so you have easy viewing.  You can access the WalkActive App online at
